La Société belge d'orthopédie et de traumatologie (BVOT) s'inquiète des conséquences du transfert du registre Orthopride vers Health Data (Sciensano), réalisé sans concertation avec la communauté orthopédique. Selon le Pr Jan Victor, cette décision limite l'accès des chirurgiens aux données essentielles pour assurer la traçabilité des implants, le suivi des prothèses et l'évaluation de la qualité des soins. Les orthopédistes alertent également sur les difficultés d'accès aux données, des problèmes techniques observés lors de la migration et les risques d'interprétation de statistiques non contextualisées. Ils demandent la reprise du dialogue avec les autorités afin de mettre en place une gouvernance garantissant à la fois la qualité des soins, la sécurité des patients et le développement de la recherche scientifique.
